Yesterday

Sorry for all the cheese, but I just felt like telling a nice story for once. That being said, this comic does not express what really happened yesterday. It's true that an old friend from the days I volunteered at a hospital came to town for a school competition. It's true that I missed out on seeing her earlier in the day because I was at home preparing for the birthday celebration. It's also true that I had to go on a wild goose chase once I got back into town. But what isn't true is what happened once I got to the pizza place. There was no dramatic, heart-clinching reuniting scene; we simply sat and talked for a while, catching up on life. I promised I would visit the hospital during Spring Break, and she promised she would be there. And then we said our goodbyes and she walked out the door and out of my life once again. Spring Break can't come fast enough.
